Dr. Ki Soo Hwang
Dr. Ki Soo Hwang is a board certified orthopaedic spine surgeon. In addition, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York University School of Medicine. He serves as an attending spine surgeon at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center located in New Jersey.

Dr. Hwang graduated with honors from the University of Rochester and received his medical degree at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ. Thereafter, he completed an orthopaedic biomechanics research fellowship. During his orthopaedic surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center (New York), he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Hwang received advanced training and completed a spine surgery fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco.
Scientific research is important to Dr. Hwang. He evaluates clinical outcomes in older patients with spinal disorders and directs studies into the biomechanics of spinal deformities.
Dr. Hwang is an active member of many prominent medical societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Scoliosis Research Society, and Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.
